Child Criminal Exploitation, Gangs and County Lines Training

Child Criminal Exploitation (CCE), Gangs, and County Lines Training is designed to equip professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to identify, understand, and respond to the complex issues surrounding the exploitation of children by gangs and organized crime groups. 

This training covers: 

• Understanding CCE: An overview of what child criminal exploitation is, including its definitions, indicators, and the impact on children and communities.
• Gang Dynamics: Insight into how gangs operate, their recruitment methods, and the role of peer pressure and vulnerability in drawing children into criminal activities.
• County Lines: Exploration of the county lines model, where gangs expand their drug trafficking operations into rural areas, often using children to transport drugs and money.
• Signs of Exploitation: Training on recognizing the signs of exploitation in children, including behavioral changes, withdrawal from family and friends, and unexplained possessions or money.
• Legal Framework: An overview of the legal responsibilities and frameworks surrounding child protection, including safeguarding policies and reporting procedures.
• Intervention Strategies: Practical strategies for intervention, including how to engage with affected children, collaborate with law enforcement, and work with community resources to provide support.
